Pixel Proxy — Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy. By using our mobile application (“App”), you confirm you’ve read and agree to this Privacy Policy (“Policy”). Our principle is to collect only what’s necessary to operate the App, keep it stable, and lawfully show ads in the free version.

1) What we do not collect or log

Pixel Proxy does not log VPN activity and does not collect:

  • browsing history or traffic content;

  • DNS queries;

  • destination IP addresses you connect to through the VPN;

  • source IP addresses or connection timestamps tied to your VPN sessions.

Advertising SDKs and diagnostics operate in the app interface and do not access encrypted VPN tunnel traffic.

2) What we collect

2.1. Diagnostic (de-identified) data

To keep the App reliable and improve stability, we collect de-identified technical data such as: app and OS version, device type, crash and error reports, aggregated connection metrics (stability, latency, speed), and technical app events. These data do not include traffic contents or your VPN browsing history

2.2. Advertising data (free version)

We use Appodeal and its integrated ad networks to show, measure, and limit the frequency of ads. For these purposes, the following may be processed:

  • Advertising identifier (e.g., IDFA on iOS);

  • IP address (also used to derive approximate location like country/region/city);

  • device and app information (model/platform, OS version, language, app version, screen resolution);

  • Apple AppTrackingTransparency (ATT) status on iOS 14.5+;

  • ad interaction events (impressions, clicks, installs, conversions);

  • anti-fraud and security signals (e.g., session identifiers, device signals).

We do not collect precise (GPS) location. Approximate location may be inferred from IP by ad partners.

3) How we use your data

  • to provide the App’s functionality and keep it working properly;

  • to diagnose, fix errors, and improve quality;

  • to display ads (including non-personalized); personalized ads only with your consent;

  • to measure ad performance, perform frequency capping, and prevent fraud/abuse;

  • to maintain security.

4) Legal bases (where GDPR applies)

  • Contract necessity — to provide and operate the App and diagnostics;

  • Legitimate interests — security, fraud prevention, non-personalized ads and their measurement;

  • Consent — personalized advertising and tracking via IDFA/ATT (iOS 14.5+). You may withdraw consent at any time (see Section 7).

5) Sharing & disclosure

We do not sell your personal data. We may share data with:

  • service providers processing data on our behalf (e.g., crash reporting/analytics, hosting); and

  • Appodeal and participating ad networks for ad delivery and measurement (see their policy).

All third parties must provide protections at least equivalent to those described here.

6) International transfers

If data are transferred outside your jurisdiction (e.g., outside the EEA), we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as EU Standard Contractual Clauses) and apply technical/organizational measures to protect your data.

7) Your choices & rights

Manage advertising/consent (email)

To opt in or out of personalized ads or withdraw previously granted consent, email us at contact@casper-vpn.com.

Device-level controls (iOS)

  • Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking — disable “Allow Apps to Request to Track” or deny tracking for Pixel Proxy;

  • reset the advertising identifier (IDFA) in device settings.

Data subject requests

For access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, or consent withdrawal, contact contact@casper-vpn.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

We do not sell or “share” personal information as defined by CCPA/CPRA. Submit access/deletion requests to contact@casper-vpn.com.

8) Data retention

  • Diagnostic logs are retained only as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy and then aggregated/fully anonymized. Typical operational retention: up to 24 months.

  • Advertising data are retained and processed by Appodeal and its partners under their own policies and retention schedules (see their Privacy Policy).

9) Security

We implement technical and organizational safeguards to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

10) Children

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly process personal data of children. In the EEA, we do not process personal data of children under 16 without verifiable parental consent. If you believe a child provided data to us, contact us and we will delete such data.

11) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The current version will be available in the App and via the App Store listing link. Material changes will be highlighted in the App. By continuing to use the App after changes take effect, you agree to the updated Policy.
